PLI for IT hardware application's deadline extended for the second time

India has extended the application deadline for its IT hardware production-linked incentive scheme to 30 August 2023. The scheme aims to broaden the country's IT manufacturing ecosystem by encouraging the localisation of components and comes with an average incentive of about 5% for net incremental sales of goods manufactured in India.

Reliance Jio Platforms net profit rises 12.5%: All the key numbers

Reliance Jio Infocomm, the telecom unit of Jio Platforms, reported a rise of 12.2% in net profit for Q1 FY24. The company added 9.2 million users, bringing its total subscriber base to 448.5 million as of 30 June. Revenue from operations for the quarter came in at INR24,042 crores, compared with INR23,394 crores in the previous quarter and INR21,873 crores a year prior. ARPUs improved to INR180.5, but fell short of street estimates. The subsidiary of Reliance Industries reported an 11.3% increase in revenue from operations on-year to INR26,115 crores.
