Dune: Awakening se pregătește de lansarea pe console de jocuri

Dune: Awakening va fi lansat pe console în septembrie 2026, adăugând una dintre cele mai solicitate caracteristici de la lansare.

Dune: Awakening va avea single-player

După o lansare pe PC în iunie 2025, Funcom a anunțat că Dune: Awakening va ajunge pe console pe 22 septembrie 2026. Anunțul a fost făcut în cadrul evenimentului State of Play. Data lansării arată că va fi disponibil la câteva luni după data inițială, deoarece planul inițial era să ajungă pe console la fix un an după ce a ajuns pe PC.

AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE review: o nouă placă mid-range intră în joc!

Deși criza de memorie a lovit destul de tare industria hardware, cel puțin momentan avem prețuri bune la plăci video. Asta a alimentat curajul celor de la AMD de a lansa o placă fix în această perioadă. Doar că nu este vorba despre un model cu totul nou, ci despre o placă al cărui debut a avut loc în China anul trecut și acum este pregătită pentru publicul european. Este vorba despre AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE care a fost gândită pentru a închide spațiul dintre RX 9060 XT și RX 9070 pe piața plăcilor video. Iar din ce-am testat până acum reușește să facă asta cu succes; ba chiar are potențialul să pună GeForce RTX 5070 de la NVIDIA într-o poziție periculoasă. Desigur, totul se va rezuma la preț. Dar până atunci, eu sunt Marinake și asta este cea mai nouă placă video din oferta Radeon.

De la ce vine GRE?

Povestea asta cu scurtătura GRE începe în 2023, atunci când AMD a lansat Radeon RX 7900 GRE. Iar pe-atunci se numeau Golden Rabbit Edition, pentru a marca anul iepurelui în China. Doar că între timp numele a prins, devenind ușor de recunoscut în piață drept ”placa aia pentru chinezi”. Numai că succesul înregistrat de RX 7900 GRE pe piețile vestice le-a forțat mâna celor de la AMD și i-au făcut să păstreze cele trei litere. Singura diferență față de atunci este însemnătatea lor: din Golden Rabbit Edition, numele complet este Great Radeon Edition. Și nici măcar nu glumesc, deci astăzi vorbim despre o placă numită în buletin AMD Radeon RX 9070 Great Radeon Edition.

Știu probabil la ce vă gândiți. Fiind ediția Radeon cel Mare, c-am așa s-ar traduce, v-ați aștepta să fie cumva mai măreață, mai puternică decât surorile sale din aceeași serie. Dar culmea, că este mai slabă și își respectă poziția de mezină a familiei. Deci ordinea vine cam așa în momentul de față: RX 9060 XT > RX 9070 GRE > RX 9070 > RX 9070 XT.

Dar haideți să aruncăm o privire și la specificațiile acestei plăci, ca să înțelegem cu cine stăm de vorbă. Și încă din start, cei de la AMD o numesc o placă pentru gaming la rezoluție 1440p. Asta reiese repede și din capacitatea de VRAM de care dispune placa: 12GB. În comparație cu Radeon RX 9070 capacitatea este cu 4GB mai mică, iar memoria este ceva mai lentă: 18Gbps vs 20Gbps. Alte diferențe le vedem și la numărul de nuclee grafice, versiunea GRE având doar 48 în comparație cu 56 de pe RX 9070. Iar ultima mare diferență dintre cele două plăci o vedem la frecvența în Boost. Fiind vorba de un număr redus de nuclee la același consum, este natural ca frecvența să urce, fapt ce mai echilibrează puțin diferența de specificații.

La bază avem aceeași arhitectură RDNA 4, ceea ce înseamnă că placa noastră aici de față este foarte capabilă în jocuri cu ray tracing grație nucleelor RT de generație nouă. În plus, upscaler-ul FSR 4 oferă o calitate vizuală cu mult îmbunătățită în comparație cu versiunile precedente, întrucât folosește hardware-ul capabil de pe Radeon RX 9070 GRE pentru a genera imaginile finale. Nu mai vorbim despre o integrare software, ci una la nivel hardware. În plus suportă și Frame Generation pentru a îmbunătăți și mai mult experiența de joc în anumite titluri.

Cât despre distribuția pe care am primit-o la test, este vorba despre XFX Swift Radeon RX 9070 GRE Triple Fan. Asta ar fi cam cea mai basic versiune de pe piață, ceea ce înseamnă că vine cu specificațiile de fabrică, fără vreun OC pre-stabilit sau profiluri agresive. Răcirea este asigurată de un radiator cu trei ventilatoare măricele, este destul de silențioasă în funcționare și temperaturile rareori au trecut de valoarea de 70°C pe hotspot. Nu avem iluminare RGB și nici alte briz-briz-uri, făcând din distribuția aceasta una dintre cele mai curate plăci de pe piață. Eu am primit versiunea pe negru la test, însă există și varianta albă. Alimentarea se realizează cu ajutorul a două cabluri de alimentare PCIe de 8 pini.

Cât de puternică este Radeon RX 9070 GRE?

Am testat noua placă de la AMD la rezoluția la care o marketează producătorul, adică 2560×1440. Nu am făcut testele la FullHD deoarece este de la sine înțeles că poate să ducă bine-mersi jocurile la această rezoluție dacă scoate rezultate bune la 1440p. Pentru FullHD v-aș recomanda să salvați niște bani și să vă uitați spre RX 9060 XT sau RTX 5060 Ti. Iar spre 4K nu avea sens să urcăm din cauza celor 12GB de memorie video, care pur și simplu nu-s de ajuns pentru gaming serios la rezoluția asta. Acolo este teritoriul plăcilor precum RX 9070 XT sau RTX 5070 Ti, ori mai puternice.

Sistemul de teste folosește flagship-ul de la Intel de generația asta, Ultra 9 285K și un kit de memorie Kingston Fury Renegade RGB DDR5-8000 CL38. Stocarea este și ea anti-bottleneck sub forma unui SSD Kingston Fury Renegade G2 2TB pe interfață PCIe Gen5. În felul acesta placa video își poate face de cap. Așa că am aruncat-o în câteva teste sintentice ca să le bifăm și pe acestea, iar lucrurile stau destul de bine.

Ca și performanță în gaming pot confirma că Radeon RX 9070 GRE este o placă numai bună pentru gaming la rezoluție 1440p. A punctat foarte bine în toate jocurile pe care le-am testat chiar și atunci când am activat ray tracing-ul, iar cu FSR 4 am văzut pentru prima dată un upscaler care arată cu adevărat bine pe o placă video AMD Radeon. Dar haideți să le luăm pe rând. Am folosit o selecție de jocuri pe care le-aveam instalate și pe care le știu ceva mai stabile, dar am inclus și bombe precum Borderlands 4 care rupe în două plăci video. Personal, consider că avem în față o placă destul de forțoasă.

Haideți să aruncăm o privire și la performanța în jocuri cu ray tracing, unde AMD încă are de recuperat în fața celor de la NVIDIA. Cu toate astea, încep să se vadă progresele de la o generație la alta, iar rezultatele pe care le-am obținut cu RX 9070 GRE au fost destul de ok. Iar asta de la o placă care nu se bate la statutul de flagship.

Am inclus trei jocuri care reprezintă perfect starea plăcilor AMD Radeon în jocuri care folosesc tehnici de iluminare avansată. Avem exemple ca Black Myth care sunt atât de solicitante încât abia scoți peste 30FPS stabil chiar și cu FSR4. După care avem Cyberpunk 2077 care arată bine cu preset-ul RT Ultra și pleacă de la o valoare de 42 FPS la rezoluție nativă. Asta îi permite upscaler-ului să ducă media asta la peste 70 de cadre la setarea Quality care arată binișor. După care avem și jocuri precum Resident Evil: Requiem care sunt bine optimizate și reușesc să ofere medii de FPS foarte bune chiar și cu ray tracing pe setarea High. Și am făcut câteva teste și cu FSR Frame Generation ca să văd cum stă treaba, iar rezultatele arată cam așa:

Din păcate, calitatea imaginilor a avut de suferit. În Black Myth: Wukong a fost cel mai rău din cauza FPS-ului de bază și așa mic. Și oricât de avansat ar fi FSR 4, pur și simplu nu poate face minuni. În Cyberpunk și Resident Evil lucurirle au fost mai bune. Se pot observa niște artefacte temporale și unele elemente de UI arată ciudat, însă calitatea este acceptabilă pentru cei care vor să atingă medii mari de cadre pe secundă.

Ar putea fi o placă excelentă… la prețul potrivit

Și iată cum AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE a ieșit din sesiunea asta de testare arătând destul de bine. Performanța în jocuri fără ray tracing este foarte bună, chiar și cu setările grafice la maxim. Nu este o variantă rea nici în jocurile cu ray tracing, iar cu ceva răbdare atunci când faci setările poți să găsești un balans bun. Dacă AMD se grăbesc oleacă cu implementarea FSR 4 și 4.1 în cât mai multe jocuri sunt sigur că experiența de gaming va evolua și mai mult pe plăcile producătorului.

În jocurile în care merge bine, FSR 4 arată spectaculos, similar chiar cu DLSS 3-ul celor de la NVIDIA care folosea rețeaua neuronală. Și cine știe, poate că odată cu trecerea la viitoarea generație de FSR vom vedea și pe Radeon un model transformer. Ce știu sigur este că producătorul trebuie să forțeze puțin adopția și să își bage nasul mai tare în zona de marketing deoarece pierde teren prețios în fața unei NVIDIA care aruncă cu DLSS 4.5 în stânga și-n dreapta.

Și iată-ne ajunși la preț, iar veștile nu sunt grozave. AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE are un preț de lansare de 550$ ceea ce se va traduce în circa 2.800 de LEI pe piața din România. Iar la banii ăștia nu este o placă video rea, dar se apropie periculos de mult de sora ei mai mare și mai puternică, RX 9070 de 16GB, cât și de RTX 5070 de 12GB de la NVIDIA. Dacă prețul va fi în zona de 2.500 de LEI, atunci va reprezenta un sweet spot între RX 9060 XT și RX 9070, atât din punct de vedere al performanței, cât și al prețului.
